| .NET Compact Framework And Other Files For Older Pocket PC PDAs | PDA Users Without Windows Mobile 5.0 Devices (and some Windows Mobile 5.0 devices)
Ultimate Car for Pocket PC software uses state-of-the-art technology. Some PDA OS versions require you to manually install certain things that come standard with the newer PDAs. Even brand new PDAs do not have some of these libraries installed by default.
There are links below to help you get these files. You will not need to install these items before you install the PDA software but you will need to install them before the Ultimate Car software is started successfully.
| 1) | The latest .NET Compact Framework | | | The .NET Compact Framework is available directly from Microsoft.
| | 2) | SQL CE Mobile Drivers | | | Some, but not all, Windows Mobile 5.0 devices come with a new database format already installed. They use SQL CE instead of the older ADO CE for their internal storage. Since the latest software uses this technology also, it is necessary to get the new drivers installed on older PDAs before the software will work.
| | 3) | ADOCE 3.1 Drivers | | | You may not need these drivers. If the software complains about not having the correct drivers then download and install one of the following CAB files appropriate for your processor

| Borland Database Engine (BDE) (Inprise/Borland) | NOTE: The Borland Database Engine is the database manager for Ultimate Car Desktop (the PC application) and its HotSync conduit as well as Power Shop. It must be installed first for Ultimate Car Desktop, its HotSync conduit and Power Shop to work properly and is now included in the Ultimate Car and Power Shop installations. It runs automatically when an existing BDE installation is not located on the computer so there is.

| Repair Database Utility | This cool tool really comes in handy when a Paradox file has been corrupted for some unknown reason. Before trying to restore a previous version from a backup use this tool to try and fix the offending database. By default, this is installed with Power Shop for Windows.

| Ultimate Car Conduit Unregister Utility | Older versions of the UCSetup.exe installation utility did not uninstall the Ultimate Car conduit. This results in errors during the HotSync process on every HotSync performed after the Ultimate Car uninstall. This utility removes the conduit form the HotSync list. Just download it into a folder of your choice then run it by double-clicking it. No messages should appear. Stop HotSync and then restart to verify the conduit has been removed by selecting Custom... from the HotSync pop-up menu.
