Ultimate Car Desktop for Windows [v5.0]

This release removes all support for PDAs. This means that this version of Ultimate Car for Windows will not work with PDAs.

This installation utility allows the Ultimate Car Desktop for Windows to be installed to your computer. The Crystal Reports for VS2008 Redistributable software installation must be installed either before or after this install or else reporting will not work. This version of Ultimate Car Desktop for Windows does not come with any PDA support.

Please Note:

With the release of Ultimate Car products with version 3.2 or higher it is necessary for all products involved to be version 3.2 or higher also because of changed data formats. This means that Ultimate Car for Palm version 3.2.0 will NOT work properly with Ultimate Car Desktop for Windows version 3.1.0.0 and vice versa, Ultimate Car Desktop for Windows version 3.2.0.0 will not work properly with Ultimate Car for Palm v2.8.6.

This installation utility allows the Ultimate Car Desktop for Windows to be installed to your computer. A synchronization utility is provided to work with Microsoft ActiveSync to keep Ultimate Car for Pocket PC (PDA software) in sync. However, Ultimate Car Desktop for Windows does not come with any PDA software, it is a separate product.

NOTE: Version 4.0 and higher works only with Pocket PC 2003 PDAs and newer. For Pocket PC 2002 PDAs please see the Older Versions section below.

This product is not supported anymore and is maintained here only for backward compatibility.

This setup utility installs CAB files onto your computer for the PDA software. If your PDA is connected via ActiveSync it will automatically install the appropriate CAB file to your PDA. Only the PDA software is installed, there is no Desktop version installed with this software.

It is now possible to use an ActiveSync connection to synchronize PDA data with the desktop via a supplied synchronization utility provided with the Desktop software and activated by this installation if using version 4.0 or higher of Ultimate Car Desktop for Windows. This installation must be run AFTER any Desktop software installation or the synchronization tool will not be activated.

NOTE: Please see .NET Compact Framework and Other Files For Older Pocket PC PDAs if you DO NOT have a Windows Mobile 5.0 Edition device OR if you are getting errors running the PDA version for the first time.

This installation utility allows the Ultimate Car for Palm to be installed which includes the PDA (v3.2.0) and HotSync conduit (v3.2.0.0). Ultimate Car for Palm does not come with any desktop software (i.e., Ultimate Car Desktop for Windows). Desktop software must be purchased separately.

You will only be able to get the Palm OS PDA software to work. There is no Ultimate Car Desktop software or HotSync conduit available for this platform. You must manually install the PRC file on your Palm OS PDA.
